GMO Internet Group (Group Representative: Masatoshi Kumagai) ranked No. 1 in Japan for supporting Japanese companies’ applications for brand TLDs, accounting for approximately 92% of applications, according to the list of applications for the 2026 round of ICANN’s New gTLD Program, published on October 7, 2026 (October 8 in Japan time). ICANN is the international nonprofit organization that coordinates and manages identifiers such as domain names and IP addresses.
